01

Start with the work, not the job title

Job titles mean different things in different businesses. Before advertising a role, list the tasks you actually need covered in a normal week, then group them into a coherent set of responsibilities.

This makes screening far more accurate, because candidates can be assessed against real work rather than a generic title.

02

Be specific about hours and overlap

Remote roles succeed or fail on availability. Decide how many hours of overlap with the UAE working day you need, and whether the role requires fixed hours or flexible completion of tasks.

03

Define what good looks like in ninety days

Write down three to five measures you would use to judge progress after three months. These become the basis of onboarding conversations and regular reviews.
